| The mission of the University of Florida, Shands at AGH Family Medicine Residency Program encompasses training, education, research, and patient care. The Program is designed to train residents to be competent, compassionate, ethical, and professional practitioners who provide comprehensive care to their patients in a continuity of care model. Emphasis is placed on practical and direct patient care-based training in addition to didactic teaching to enhance the learning environment. The Program endeavors to instill in residents the love of lifelong learning and the tools to accomplish this goal.
