Dr. Konopka received his M.D. from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Dr. Konopka worked as a pediatrician in Africa (Zambia and South Africa) and in South America (Amazon). He has done clinical research at the Center for Liver Diseases at the University of Miami and at the Center for Cardiovascular and Cancer Research at the Broward Medical Center. His interest lies in preventive medicine.
