| The Family Stress
Clinic is a center for psychotherapy and family
counseling services that provides care on referral from primary
care physicians or medical specialists.
Psychotherapy is an established therapeutic approach in which a
person can confidentially speak with a trained counselor and they
can work on problems together. Psychotherapists have graduate
education in one of several fields that prepare them to work
effectively with people who present with many types of problems.
These problems include family problems, life crises, psychosocial
stress at home or at work, behavioral problems (such as tobacco
use), emotional illnesses, or adjustment to chronic medical
conditions.
The Family Stress Clinic offers you and your family the following

The Family Stress Clinic offers psychotherapy and behavioral
counseling provided by University of Florida counseling providers.
Two family physicians consult with the team and are available for
medical consultation related to the treatment regimen for
psychological problems. The licensed providers on our current
