Professional Biography

A licensed clinical social worker, Ms. Clark has a varied academic background which includes three Master's Degrees: (1) Comparative Religions from Temple University, (2) Educational Psychology from the University of Houston, and (3) Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. Ms. Clark is also a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, and is certified by the National Board for Clinical Hypnotherapy and the National Academy of Clinical Social Work.

Her special interests primarily lie in the area of hypnosis/hypnotherapy. She has been certified with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis as well as the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Her clinical focus is on smoking cessation, weight control, phobias/anxieties, and depression.

Ms. Clark also has a special interest in women and health. She has worked in the areas of domestic violence and with the Child Protection Team, as well as with the Department of Pediatrics as an expert court witness on issues of child abuse. She also has past experience with the Therapeutic Foster Home Program through the local Community Mental Health Center. In her community volunteer services with the Equal Access Clinic, Ms. Clark focuses on indigent health/mental care access, and for the past 15 years has served on the Alachua County Health Care Board advocating for mental health parity. Ms. Clark was chosen by her colleagues as Social Worker of the Year, Gainesville/Ocala Unit in 2007.
